Today at the gym I started getting really weird heart beats (not like a high HR) but like palpalations or something? I then felt really sick and dizzy and fainted...
So... the PT working at the time said I could not come back to the gym til I got doctor approval.. I know he has my best interests at heart but this SUCKS!
I love working out, is one of my few fave things I can do every day! (or nearly...)
It is actually one of the reasons I even wanna wake up in the mornings...
So I cannot go to the doctors until wed as I don't get paid til then and still not sure if they will give me the all clear or not!
I dunno what to do I use exercise as my antidepressant and I just enjoy it so much... I miss it already

oh no!!!! that is terrible news!! i hope all is well with your health dear!0

better to be safe than sorry, there is a reason for you passing out but you can always do some basic calisthenics at home till Wednesday to keep up with your exercise, just take it easy.0

First and foremost, make sure you're ok! That's scary stuff
Maybe you can get out for a light walk daily until you can get in to see your doctor. Nothing strenuous, but just too keep yourself moving?
Best of luck, and I hope it goes well on Wednesday! :flowerforyou:0 -
Sorry to hear that. Just wait until you have been to the doctors and see what he says. You don't want to do yourself unnecessary damage to your body and your health. See what he says and ask what other type of exercise you can do if you can't go to the gym. Walking is a good exercise and it doesn't cost you anything0

Oh, sorry to hear that - but much better to be safe and make sure you're healthy and it's not something serious.. FYI - my husband was experiencing kind of the same thing one night and after reading up on it, it seemed it was from very low potassium and it went away once we got that up. Your body does go thru all kinds of changes with any new program, etc... But good luck and hope you're just fine to get back on a normal routine soon!0

Aww Thats not good at all. . I hope you get things sorted out so you can get back in to gym. . I live with having heart palpalations every day of my life and really its nothing major I am sure you can find other ways to ooo exercise until you sort you self on out but take care of yourself xxx0

Try a yoga dvd or class. If you have never done one don't knock it until you try it. Your heart-rate doesn't go up as high as with cardio but it can be a heck of a workout. Hope all is well with your health.0

I'm not sure if that's what it actually was or something else... specially since I fainted afterwards :S0 -
I'm sure they have your best interest at heart, and I'm sure that they don't want to be SUED. Please take good care of yourself.

DONT MESS WITH YOUR HEALTH !! Signs like that are there for a reason.......it may be something as simple as a chill setting in or something more serious. You can probably do gentle exercise till you see your Doc but dont overdo it. It may be due to your weightloss.......I remember after I had lost over 3 stones when I was younger and the same thing happened to me......it turned out to be a kidney infection and was quickly sorted. The thing was I was very active like you and I felt OK but it came over me all of a sudden. TAKE CARE OF YOUR BOD LASS and good luck with it all !!

I wouldn't sue them anyway, they know that... 0 -
Don't risk it! Just wait for now!0

Personally, I wouldn't exercise. In fact, I probably wouldn't be driving either, and I would be careful with any exertion I had to do at all. I fainted at work back in 2004, not once but twice. Fainted, got up, then fainted again.
Thing is, you don't know what's wrong. It could be something simple to correct ( I was anemic, btw) or it could be something more serious.
Be safe, not sorry. Give yourself permission to care for yourself. :flowerforyou:0 -
Pop up to the hospital if you are worried - it won't cost you anything. But first of all make a list and a timeline of what you had eaten up to that point, what you felt like, what you'd done exercise-wise so you have all the information at your fingertips.0
