I'm worried, I need your advice

I'm new to this site, and I think it's great. I've never really dieted before, but I thought I'd give it a try. I only joined on Monday but I've already lost 5lb. Is it normal to lose more at the beginning, because I'm getting worried - I don't want to lose weight too fast, in case I gain it back, or I get ill.
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

    It is normal to lose a lot in the first instance - nothing to worry about - it's water weight, we all lose a lot at first.

    no worries. Some of the threads have good info on this subject.

    When you change the way you eat, your go way down on sodium and increase your clear water intake.

    This helps to flush the system. It will slow down, or may stop for 1 week. Dont worry.

    As long as you are eating your calories (all of them...no skimping....1200-1400 is already way low!)

    You will be fine!!
