Just Walk Challenge [Open]

I see all the other challenges and I think that is great. However, I am busy and lazy. I think if I can just get out in walk, that would be best for me.
So... for everyone in the same boat. Walking is a great exercise that everyone can do. So my challenge is, no matter how tired or busy you are from your day. Get out in walk for 30 minutes a day. It doesn't have to be all at once, but it needs to = 30 minutes.
Facts about walking:
Brisk walking (≥3.5 mph) has been shown to reduce body fat, lower blood pressure, increase high-density lipoprotein, and even reduce risks of bone fracture.
Brisk walking has also been associated with lower mortality rates from cardiovascular disease and cancer.
21% to 34% of U.S. adults meet public health recommendations (5 times per week for at least 30 minutes) for physical activity by walking.
Walking helps lower lowdensity lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol) and raise high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol ("good" cholesterol).
Reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Taking a brisk, one-hour walk burns approximately 400 calories for the average person.
Walking is the only exercise in which the rate of participation does not decline in the middle and later years.
Walking burns approximately the same amount of calories per mile as does running. For example, walking briskly for one mile in 15 minutes burns about the same number of calories as jogging an equal distance in 8.5 minutes. (President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.)
Going for a walk is a great way to reduce stress and promote an overall sense of wellness.

I'm in! I love walking and need accountability ...I mean even if you step out side and walk around the block..
Oh something I recently did was download a MP3 album that is for walking. It is 60 minutes of walking briskly. So if you want you can download
enough songs on your phone or whatever and walk till they are over..like 8 songs would be roughly 30 minutes (if they each are 3 min or longer) more if not. But it's motivating and uplifting. The speed of the songs helps with your walking pace too. You'll find yourself walking to the beat so try for fast paced songs.
Thanks for posting!

I'm disabled and don't walk much. But I need a challenge and if you'll accept a slow walker I'd like to be counted in.0
