Hi guys, I am the captain of Team Power Hungry, and some of my members and I were talking and we decided that even though we were on seperate teams we want to support each other too! So this forum is for all Motivation Matters members to talk and encourage each other and hopefully it will help us to stay motivated and to also have fun and get to know other team members on this challenge!! It will also be a great place to post victories and rant about the difficulties of the challenges! I am so excited about Episode 2/Challenge 2 that comes out tomorrow!! I wish ya'll the best and can't wait to get to know all of you better and encourage you on this journey to a healthier you!! (sorry if I sound like a commercial!)

Awesome Idea!!! I'm the captain of Waist Removers -- we have a forum just for our team to report, but I love being able to support ALL the teams and challengers!! Motivation DOES matter -- and we are each others' best source of motivation and inspiration!!!

I'm a member of Team Waist Removers too. We all need to (and have!) support each other as much as possible. There are going to be some challenges we will all struggle with, but working together we will all be successful!0

Thanks guys but I can't take all the credit, Amanda (mamamc03), one of my team mates, came up with this idea and said we should do it so we did I love having the extra support and ya'll are most certainly welcome! I can not wait for the challenges tomorrow!!!0

I am curious as to what everyone thought about the 100 miles? Was it too hard, just right, or to easy for you? I loved that it got me motivated to go to the gym everyday, even when the weather was yucky. I knew I had to pull my weight as a team member and especially as a captain! But I loved that my team had my back one day. I had an irregular heart beat all day wednesday (I think it was due to stress) and it had me feeling blah and worried so they told me they would all do a little extra to help make up for my miles, but I did end up doing them (only 2.5 but that was a big deal on that day). So what did ya'll think of this weeks challenge?0

The walking was a little tough for me. I tried to get in as much as i could during my lunch break and before it got dark out.
I got blisters on both feet and that slowed me down towards the end of the week.
The water was good, I think we should do that every week!0 -
I honestly loved the challenges....BUT they kicked my butt!! I didn't think I would make it, and some days I didn't and others I went above and beyond. When I was walking and felt like I should stop, I kept pushing myself, adding different routes around my neighborhood to get the miles in. It was super cold one morning, so the hubs & I went to the mall with all the little old people!! I remember waking up one morning thinking, hey, I can't wait to walk today!! Can you imagine...This same girl who 5 months ago preferred to sit and have a snack while my hubby and daughter went outside to play. I wanted/desired/longed to exercise. I put on my pedometer app which allowed me to play my ipod music and I blasted it with NO headphones and walked my neighborhood until I could take no more! I have NASTY blisters on my feet from day ONE, but I kept walking every day!!
The water was great!! i think that contributed to my HIGH weight loss!! Man, I hope that continues this week! ANYways!!
So excited about this week's challenge. I am not near as intimidated as I was last week, but we'll see how the jumping jacks or alternatives go! I attribute a LOT of my success this week to the support of my new found friend, led_2006 (Lauren). I Love her to pieces!!
P.S. DId anyone else see the title of this week's episode and think...oh lord, we have to do a cleanse?? LOL ANYWAYS. Good night and I will be checking in here!!0 -
I thought it was a tough challenge, because I was already doing 40 minutes of cardio, so I had to figure out a way to add it in..But it was worth it. I felt like I had reallt accomplished something a every day when it was done! I think I will be doing the windshield wipers this week because bouncing on my ankly like you do in jumping jacks feels wrong still (kin of like it's loose or something, buyt it shoudlnt be since its all wored together!!!) I am going to stick with the water although we don't have to, because its good for me! the veggies..no problem...I eat a ton of veggies. that one should be easy for me. My biggest problem is findig the time to do the extra. working and trying to be home for my kids (12 and 14) although they don't seem to care if I'm there, is a challenge. what a great week! Im going to be a busy bee this week! I was on the losing team so each day I have burpee's, jacks and weights! Oh My!
I do weights on Mondays and Wednesday, I might be able to get the whole weeks worth done in one day. I will have to count and keep track.0 -

OMG!!! Amanda, I totally just cried!!! Not it's not just b/c I am pmsing but it's because I love you to pieces and I know I couldn't do this without you either!!! and I am so incredibly proud of you and all your hard work and determination!! and yes I thought it meant we were going to do a cleanse lol

Hey guys, it's the middle of challenge/week two... How are you guys doing?! How are those 21's coming and the fruits and veggies? How many of you are still doing the water (the ones that didn't have to) and maybe even the miles? Keep up the hard work, and you will be sure to have a great weigh in saturday, it will be here before you know it!!0
