I'm 55 years old and I've recently had a health :noway: scare related to my diabetes, and inderectly to my weight. That got me looking for a way to lose weight/eat healthier. Since October 14th I've been using mfp to log everything. I have lost 10 pouonds as of this morning! My goal is to lose another 35-40 pounds and try to get other weight related health issues under control. Im looking for friends and support.

    Hi

Welcome to MFP. Its been a great place for me. I have lost 87 pounds and maintained it for about 6 months. I am now starting to lose the last 18 pounds. I could not have done with without the support of MFP friends. Feel free to add me as a friend, I will help support and motivate you along the way. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

Thanks! I'm thinking the support will really help. Some days are hard when there is junk food all around!

You have come to the right place. I have added you. This place (since I started using it daily instead of sporadically) has been my lifeline when it comes to keeping on track. When I have wanted to throw in the towel and give up, I have gotten on here and read success stories. You can reach your goal. Good luck in your journey!

Hi Suzie ....your story sounds all to familiar to me. A health scare called prediabetes is what lead me here to MFP I know that I can control my weight and theres no reason why I should have the title Diabetic behind my name or anywhere in my health records for that matter....I had to come to the realization that I am in control of what I put In my body and to strive for a healthier me is what I plan to do........good luck in your fitness endevor................Pray for me as I continue to pray for you...:flowerforyou:
