Hey all,

wondering what a good RHR is? Atm mine is in the 50's... is this too low or is it fine?
What is the average?

depends on your age and fitness level. Mine is 50 or so, but I'm a dedicated runner. 50 is fine as long as you aren't symptomatic (passing out, etc).

A Heart rate in the 50's is excellent!! Athletes have heart rates of 50.

The average adult RNR is about 60-70. But really can range from anything from about 50 - 90.
I have a RHR of 54 so am slightly on the low side. Not an issue, but if you have a medical procedure do let the medics know your normal RHR. I scared an anesthetist once when mine went lower than she was expecting - normal for me!! Apparently caused problems for them during the op I was having.

Mine was 44 and I am not a runner or in shape. I asked my doctor why it was so low and he told me that it was from one of my blood pressure meds. I was on. On the tread mill I could not get it over 125. I switched meds and now it is around 66.
