Warning Warning, 2011 Holiday Coke looks like Diet Coke

We have a shared fridge at work that is stocked by the company.

I usually just reach in and grab a Diet Coke and walk away.

Well today I thoroughly enjoyed 1 and a half cans before I realized why it tasted so damn good.

The new 2011 Holiday cans have a strong enough resemblance to Diet Coke, unless you pay attention.

    I probably wouldn't have seen them, but it seems the can's color and design were chosen because they are raising money for polar bears this year.

    Knowing me if I made this mistake I would have spit it out on one sip and been all "Who's trying to poison me?" :frown:

    Bah ha ha. Polar Bears. The Polars Bears thank you for buying a product which pollutes the earth by its mere production. Not to mention all the pollution caused by moving it from factory to store, to your house. Then the disposal in the land fills. Ha. Those Coke people, always doing a good deed.

    Yes, I was screwed by this the other day. I ordered a pizza and a diet coke and the guy brought this kind instead of diet. I was crushed.

    I actually made him take it back. I have no interest in drinking regular coke. I seem to crash hard from the sugar. He said he would bring another one, but I told him not to worry about it. I couldn't blame him since the can totally looks like diet. Plus I used to deliver pizzas so I can sympathize. Still tipped him well.

    It is a pretty fancy looking can though. I wonder if we will get the same over here.

    Do you guys in the US get the coke bottles with names on it? Heaps of people posting stupid pics on FB of coke bottles. I'm thinking, no way I'm wasting cals (that could be used for ice cream & pop tarts) on sugary coke!

    Shouldnt have to worry too long.....apparently people have complained about the taste and they are pulling the cans.....
    they were pretty though.

    This reminds me of when they changed the recipe/formula. . . all the publicity and the hype.

    They couldn't be that smart again, could they? I remember there was a run on Coke....
