Last week I tried non fat Keifer milk. I am not a big fan of milk at all, but I really liked Keifer. I made a smoothie out of it.
1 cup Keifer milk
1 cup fresh mango
1/2 a banana
1 cup kale (yes kale)
It tasted real good.

Going to try it with berries next time.

Hello everyone. I recently read about keifer, called the local health food store and they don't carry it. Can it be bought ready to drink?:

It is actually spelled Kefir. Whole Foods or Wegmens should have it. It tastes like buttermilk. I buy the non-fat one.

It is spelled Kefir and it can be found ready to drink at Wegmens or Whole Foods. Traders Joe or MOM might carry it too.

I wanted to try that, but do not know where to buy Kefir grains from. THe store bought , ready to drink ones contain only 10 live good bacteria string, but the home made one can contain as many as 30.
The carb content is a little high 12 gms per serving, so one must limit consumption to not more than 1 cup a day.
