Good Morning Everyone!
Day 7 of this awesome challenge! How's everyone's commitment holding up? Anyone in need of a pep talk to keep them on track?
So I had a question: WHAT KINDS OF VITAMINS DO YOU TAKE?
I always feel better when I'm on a good and balanced vitamin regimen, consisting of:
- Centrum Multi-Vitamin for Active Adults
- D
- B6
- B12
- B100
- Omega 3
Anyone have advice for what else I should be taking? Let's hear what you all take!

Good Morninggg!! Ok, so a little honesty time ... In the past 6 days of this challenge I've done the Shred about 4 times ... one day I just couldnt do it because my legs would of given out ... and the other day I didnt have time ... On BOTH of those "off" days, I still managed to go to the gym and JOGGED on the treadmill for a while ... plus I still did mini-versions of the exercises she does (maybe just 15 of the squats & lunges instead of 30 like she does on the video) .... The thing is, I've noticed my legs are alot stronger, and my stomach is already looking more toned .... I should definately make more of an effort to do the video everyday, but I think "slacking" on the video with the treadmill seems like a fair trade
HAPPY DAY 6 EVERYONEEE!! KEEP SHREDDINGGGG0 -
Day 7 done this morning. : ) Feeling great! The more you do the Shred, the shorter it seems to get. Before you know it, you are on the last circuit.
I don't take any vitamins. I know I probably should. The only time I took vitamins was when I was pregnant with my 2 children. I try to get everything from foods. I know that I may not be getting everything I should, however I feel great.
Have fun with the shred today.

I didn't manage to get day 6 in. I was going to get up early today and shred and run, but I was just too exhausted and it's way too easy to snooze. I'll just have to fit it in tonight. I literally worked all day Saturday but managed to get a great workout in at 9PM, but I think the toll was really taken into effect on Sunday. I feel like such a lazy bum right now. I showered and got to work, but now I just want a nap...it's only 9AM, but I am still just so tired.
I'm really going to have to force myself through the several blisters, tight calves and feeling tired all over to accomplish the dvd and my run tonight.
I don't take any vitamins at the moment. I used to take supplements to help me control my appetite, but have stopped especially since I'm now on acne antibiotics. I try to fit in 2 mugs of green tea each day though. I didn't manage to drink any over the weekend...perhaps that's why I feel so crappy.0 -

I have surprised myself and have done the shred everyday even if I didn't feel like it. I actually just started taking a vitamin. I am taking one a day active metabolism thats all I am taking.0 -
Morning Crew
I must admit I am doing the Shred Level 1 every day but I listen to my body and modify when necessary. I had a knee injury so for the first few I was very careful with the jumping jacks, won't hesitate to sub with a powerful low impact move but even when doing that I still push myself to the max. I am also cycling through 4 lb, 2 lb weights right now too, again to avoid injury. I really want to do this for the entire 30 days without a rest.
What weights is everyone using?
As for multivitamin I use a whole food Vitamin plus MSM & GSL (for the joints) and good old cod liver oil!
Ok, gotta get Shredding! Day 7 here I come!

I have been using 4 lb weights for all my weight workouts. I may bump it up to 5 lb weights at the start of the new year. I sometimes wear ankle weights while I spin.0
-
I am only using 2lb weights. I can not even think about using something more right now. I haven't lifted a single weight in 10 yrs so certain things are still tough with only the 2lb. I also don't want to bulk up0

I finished day 7 this morning and I'm looking forward to moving up to the next level. I've been doing Level 1 off and on for a while now (more off than on). I probably should take vitamins and now I'll probably add some with lunch. I use 5 pound weights.0

Just woke up and weighed this morning and I have gained 1.5 lbs! since last Wednesday I think. Sucks so bad. I was acually headed down on the chart but now its back up there. Its just so disappointing. I wanted to know that my hard work was paying off.
Anyways I did the shred twice yesterday, and will be dong it twice again today for making up for the weekend. Well the shred is getting easier at times, so I must be gaining muscle. I really wish I had a measuring tape and measured at the begining of this 30 days...maybe if I remember I will grab one today.
Oh and I have been trying to remember to take my "Stresstabs" yep, thats what they are called. They have folic acid, B1, B2, B6, B12, Biotin, Vit C, and E, and 18mg of Iron.
But I actually havent taken them in a while, so today I will try to remember.
Also, this may be bad, but I am not using any weights......I dont have any! but I will hopefully try to remember to pick some up today too...I think I will be going for the 3 lbs0 -
I used 5 pounds weights. It's funny -- when im doing the shred, the 5 pound weights seem SO heavy ... .yet when I go to the gym, I do some of the same moves with 10-15 pound dumbbells and I'm perfectly fine0

Day 7 Done . I had no motivation to do it today but knew I had to. I am trying to go the full 30 days without a break. I am glad I did it today. I feel better now.I actually managed to do all the bicycle crunches this time. I usually can do half and end up doing the rest in regular crunches. I can't wait to go on to level 2 though.0

Hey there, I'm also on day 7, I'm finding it pretty easy now, the minuites fly by. Looking forward to level 2 on Friday I've been using weights I found at work don't know what they are but they are quite small. I don't take any vitamins, I can't afford them!! Especially with gym membership and me buying all these Jillian Micheal DVD's!!! Happy shredding guys....0

I missed yesterday due to feeling like complete CRAP....still dont feel good, but I am determined to do my "day 8" workout and get my butt back in gear this week. I am really proud of myself for sticking with it all week and doing it 7 days straight. I am not a morning person and was dreading getting up early to workout, but I have found that I feel so much better throughout the day!! I have more energy and motivated to get things done. I have a really hard time working out in the evenings, but today I have no choice. I will check back in later tonight after I complete my workout. Hope everyone is having a great day!!!
ps. I use 5 lb weights for the majority of the workout and 8lbs for the chest flys. (Im doing the classic 30 day shred with hand weights)0 -
Also, this may be bad, but I am not using any weights......I dont have any! but I will hopefully try to remember to pick some up today too...I think I will be going for the 3 lbs
I had heard someone once say they didn't have any weights so they used canned food. I've done it before. It might be better than nothing.0 -
Well for day 7, i pushed myself and did Level 2 already!!! I was getting sick and tired of Jillians voice the first time. Every time we did punches they were directed at her head because she was doing more talking than exercise herself. So in level 2, not only did she kick my *kitten*, she kicked herself too. I definatly felt it! I found myself doing alot better on the first level and needed a change. If i feel really sore one day, im sure ill go back to 1. But im hoping to improve myself in the next week on my performance was today. It was weak, because i couldnt do it all, but it still burned!!
Good luck everyone!0
