I have lost 100 pounds over the last eleven months. I did it by counting calories. I am 5'3, and weigh 116 pounds. I dont want to lose any more weight and I am currently consuming about 1200-1300 calories a day. I know it isn't enough because I am still losing about a pound a week. My fitness pal is telling me I need to eat about 1700 calories a day to maintain my weight. I lead a pretty active life with my job. I work in a restaurant and I am pretty much constantly in motion. I am looking for any advice on the matter! Thanks!

Congratulations! You answered your own question. In order not to lose that pound a week, add 3500 calories a week, in whatever manner works best for your health and lifestyle.
  • Agree with the above - MFP is telling you what to do, you just need to find a way to do it!

Add back the calories, but be aware, you might have to adjust up or down a bit over the next few weeks. I have found it hard to maintain with out losing or gaining more than my 5 lb wiggle room I left myself. Congratulations on reaching your goal.

You need to GRADUALLY add more calories. Maybe add 200, and then another 100 in 2-3 weeks, etc until you are at that 1700. I wouldn't jump up 500 calories over-night, I think you would gain and not like the results.

How about adding some higher calorie healthy foods that are easy to eat on the go? Maybe nuts and or trail mix? Congrats on your great weight loss.
