Who is planning on chowing down on Thanksgiving? Staying on track with their calorie intake? Logging in their diary? Skipping the feast all together? I'm just curious???
I myself plan to chow down with out any reservations at all! I plan on enjoying every single calorie and hell yes I want dessert too, pumpkin pie with extra whipped cream!
I plan on being on best behavior before Turkey Day, I will definitely be having a big sweaty work out the day before and hopefully the morning of T day too!
My plan for Black Friday - back to business as usual, healthy eating and working out!

I will eat with reckless abandon. I would log it if the calorie counts were available, but they won't be so.... free day.0
-
- Logging it all
- Eating lighter before and after, adding an extra workout
- Not (completely) pigging out the day of, but definitely having dessert and some of everything.
Expecting to be well over on calories, but still at goal for the week.0 -
I plan on not logging Thanksgiving Day. I'm going to workout a lot though. I'm not logging mostly because I won't know how to log what I'm eating anyway. I am going to use portion control. I'm not going to pig out, but I am going to eat mostly what I want until I'm full.0

Day before= Normal
Thanksgiving= Enjoying and eating anything, no logging
Day after= Normal

I'm going to try to log my food and eat smaller portions.. but I'm not going to try to stay within my calorie goal.
I'm going to try to add a couple extra exercises in before/after to make up for the calories, so trying to log at least most of it will help me stay on track for the week.
I'm already looking forward to all the delicious food!0 -
I don't plan on logging all of Thanksgiving weekend - But I'm going to be extremely active with hiking, ATV'ing, shooting and plain ol' galavanting around west Texas to make up for any caloric indecencies.0

i will be naughty x3!!! i thanksgiving!!!0
-
I plan on attempting to employ as much portion control as possible. One scoop of even the most delicious food should be sufficient.
good luck!!!0 -
I will eat some of everything want, just not tons of it giggle0
-
I'm cooking only for 4 this year, so the menu will be limited and I know what's going into it all, which will be a big help. Portion control for me and a nice long walk after dinner!0
-
I plan on logging, but I know it is not going to be correct, to combat that I also plan on not getting a second plate, and limiting sweets to only one. I am also planning on working out that morning and that night, just to help with the extra calories, just in case.0

I'm not logging on Thanksgiving. It's one day, its not going to undo everything I've done up til that point :-)0
-
When Thanksgiving gets here I've informed everyone that they're not allowed to look me in the eyes.
Does that answer your question?0 -
I'm not going to log it because I just don't think I could get anywhere near accurate. Maybe I will try but I doubt it.
I will eat whatever I want but try to keep the portions down so I don't feel like crap afterward.
But I don't believe in calling it "naughty". That seems to me like a bad relationship with food.0 -
Naughty naughty naughty!
I always tell my boyfriend my weight loss plans so there is a witness to them! Yearly, I do not count on five days: New Year's Eve, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas! That way, I don't get tempted at all during the holidays, because I know that my cheating days are soon to come! But just like most people here, I will try to work out, and I will eat very healthy for both breakfast and lunch.
I've tried this already for halloween. It went a lot better than last halloween because
1. I ate really well before night and exercized
and
2. I have learned some really important skills that help me even when all bets are off: eat only when you're hungry and stop eating when you're full.
I'm still better off than I was on ANY holidays prior to this :P0 -
I am thinking that I will eat until I am unconscious... Then I rethink that and will eat what I want and try to log as best I can. Portions will be best guess. We are going to friends and I will be grazing before and after the big meal. Then I be eating delicious leftovers in reasonable portions for the next week. I will be exercising and exercising to make up for it.
My mouth is water now just thinking about it.0 -
I plan on chowing down on Thanksgiving. Not gonna worry about calories and I'm looking forward to having a piece of my son's home made pecan pie. YUM YUM  Where's the lip smacking icon? :laugh:0
-
I'm going to log to the best of my ability. May have to guess as I won't be making everything myself.
I'm going to eat some of everything that looks good to me. I plan on small portions. I will eat til I'm full, not till I'm stuffed.
I will go over on my calories but I'm not going to worry about it.
Then it's back to eating healthy and exercise.0 -
I'm logging everything to the best that I can. I might go over, but I'm going to try to avoid much in the way of sweets and I plan on trying to eat small portions and exercise one or more times that day (morning and evening?) to try to still stay within my target calories for the day. I've been at this for 6+ weeks and I've been under every day. I don't want to ruin that.0
-
I am looking at this as a life change so I have plans to log and stick to my calorie intake too. )0
-
I plan on not logging, but taking smaller portions of my favorites ONLY! Definitely will have dessert! May try to take a walk that day, but I am not going to stretch my gut too far out! Of course it is on my lighter workout day, so all other days will be the same!0
-
I might not log, but I'm not going to go crazy by any means. I get sick when I eat too much. Definitely planning a workout in the morning, too. I'm going to try to get my family to go on a run with me!0

Well, I'm planning on eating whatever and not logging that day, but who knows? I will be super active that day (well, unless it's cold and/or rainy and we're stuck inside)... Or I may just eat a little bit of this and that and not go crazy. I haven't gone nuts in years, just because it makes me miserable when I do, but either way, no guilt that day. Then, back to regular on Friday.
I'm mostly worried about the Christmas season. Parties, candy trays, gifts of candy, cookies... oh man, it's never ending, and those are my weaknesses. One day of Thanksgiving? I can handle it. One month of Christmas? I'm terrified.0 -

OMG I'm totally with you on that! I LOVE Christmas cookies!!!!!0 -
I don't plan on pigging out. I'm not a huge fan of the whole 'food holiday' thing anyway, so I'm sure I'll eat in moderation. Same with Christmas coming..not going to be that person who eats a ton of cookies and crap, then spends January regretting it and trying to work it all off! I didn't work hard all these months to blow it on a bunch of junk that's going to make me feel crummy anyway.0
-
its only one day~have fun is what I say ^o~0
-
I will log everything, and eat in moderation. However, i am going to the football game, so I may be drinking heavily. :drinker:0
