"Hold on to 16 as long as you can, change will come around real soon and make us women and men."

"Don't bend, don't break, baby don't back down."

"I can see no matter how near you'll be
You'll never belong to me, but I can dream, can't I?
    ....
I'm aware my heart is a sad affair
There's much disillusion there, but I can dream, can't I?"

Not my favorite song, but I love the lyrics.

I'm not religious, so this is a strange one for me, but I love it.

Life is seen more clearly through our tears
We all find some faith when we face our fears
When my life goes like I want
    God becomes an afterthought
and I start trying to build my heaven here.

A better believer would look to the sky
Shout hallelujah with tears in his eyes
Open his heart and start giving it all away
When I take a hard look at myself
and count my blessings I can't but help
but wonder if there's been some kind of mistake
This life of mine should belong to a better believer.
    - Dierks Bentley - Better Believer

    *********************************
Fried Pickles, Drunk Chicken, Crawfishin in the creek
Wild turkey, deer jerky tough as Tarzan's feet
Wild women skinny swimmin only belly button deep
Turn muddy river water into sweet sweet tea
Hayloft lovin in the holler by the house
No doubt about it what I love about the south...
    - Trace Adkins - What I Love About the South

    *******************************************************************

I sit back and think about them good old days
The way we were raised and our southern ways
    We like cornbread and biscuits
and if it's broke 'round here we fix it
I can take ya'll where ya need to go
Down to my hood, back in them woods
We do it different 'round here, that's right
But we sure do it good and we do it all night
So if you really wanna know how it feels
To get off the road in a truck with four wheels
Jump on in man, tell your friends
We can raise some hell where the blacktop ends.
    - Dirt Road Anthem -

    ****************************************************************

    Corner cafe
She scrapes some quarters off the table
Says "Thanks. Yeah, maybe now I'll be able
To get that black mercedes I've been savin' for."
    The other girls say
"You outta undo a couple buttons
start showin off a little something."
She says "nah, you go ahead
    Think I'd rather stay poor.
    See I'm just makin rent"
She says "this aint where my road ends.
This may not be my town,
But it will do for now,
    Till I can figure out
    Who I am
    and Where I'm goin."
    She's slingin eggs and bacon
    With a college education.
    Hanging out and waiting,
    for a better plan
    She's okay not knowing
    She's young.
    and the world's Wide Open.
    - Jason Aldean - Wide Open

    1) But on your bed Mary, I can see the shadow of a noose
I don't understand how you can hold me so tight, and love me so damn loose.

    ===============

    2) I'm fine like wine when I start to rap,
Like a bottle of chateauneuf du pape
