Been on the sidelines

Hi! I've been logging food and activity for awhile now but have been shy about meeting people. I know I need to give and get support to really be successful at fitness so here goes. I am 51, a woman, and struggling for every pound. I have been trying to think in terms of being healthy, not dieting, but that old deprivation thinking kicks in. Anyone else struggling?

    Only EVERY DAY! That is why this place is amazing! You can totally do it... and you are right, it is not a diet, it is a life change... just hit each day running, and do all that you can to make it better than the day before! We are all going to fall, but that is what the people on here are great for! Picking you up, and dusting you off... and, they are pretty great about shoving you back on the horse, like it or not, and making you get back to it!!!! Chin up, as you keep going, it is going to be easier and easier to do it!

  • Struggling big time. I'm 50 3 kids 3 step kids and 6 grandkids and I'm really over weight. Lost quite a bit (70 pounds) about 2 years ago and was doing really well then I got hurt and had to have surgery. Now I'm healed up and starting over. So far I've lost 30 pounds since July. Very proud of myself but I have to really push myself to exercise. I am so glad that I did afterwards but to get started still is a kick in the pants. I had originally planned this as a thing for my son and I to do together a little competition so to speak but he isn't into it and I need to lose it so its me, myself and I. I know that I can do it. I just need to keep on task and do it for myself and no one else.
