I am wearing a hrm and it beeps at me if I go over 155 or under 117. I keep my hr between that but more on the high end. I thought it was good to get your hr up, do you burn more calories when its higher?

Target heart rate zones are different based on your goals. For weight loss you want to stay in the lower range 60%-70% (It's been awhile so someone correct me if my ranges are off). From the numbers you gave, it sounds like your HRM is set to keep you in a 50-75% range and it beeps if you leave that range, which is normal for a HRM. I suggest opening the owners manual and learning how to set it for your specific needs.0

See if you can turn off the beeps. That sounds annoying.
I agree with the above poster that the device is probably trying to enforce the "fat-burn zone", but it's silly to constrain yourself into that zone. Feel free to go faster. You will burn more calories and yes, more fat.
