I've figured out that Victoria Secrets... while they have nice bras... just isn't for me. Most of the cute ones ALL have padding! I'm a D and I just don't need any padding!! They either make me look like my boobs are going to suffocate me.. or they keep moving and give me the 4 boob look and I'll have to keep adjusting.

I find the ones with padding are more comfortable. Maybe it's just me.

I agree with you, and I really like the ones that add 3 cup sizes, it's so funny. and false advertising.

specially if your the guy at the end of the date!

Oh Miss Aggie! I'll trade you problems. I was between a 40B and 40C. My girls are rapidly going awol. Not sure what size I'd be at the moment. Between losing cuppage and gravity I not only need padding but the girls require an industrial strength shelf to hold them up where they belong.

Don't mind me....I'm just pouting! My boobs were the only thing I liked about being fat. When I was small I could barely fill a 32B.

I have a bra that is a Playtex/Bali that I bought through Avon. It's wire free and doesn't have the extra padding but does provide temperature coverage. I'm a DD so I'm all too familiar with the hunt for a comfy bra but this one is awesome and super comfy.
  • A cup...wish I had your problem.

    Just sayin'.

I am a size 39 DD and I get my bras through Victoria Secret but due to the size I have to buy them online because the store does not carry them. Yes they can be expensive but you wash them by hand and they last a really long time. When I weighed 200lbs and less I wore a 36 C and could shop in the store. I have also found it frustrating that the larger the bra the less variety but online they have all prints and designs so that solved that problem. I have been wearing victoria secret since I was 16 and have not found any bras that fit as well or last as long.
  • Depending on brand & what type of bra, I'm either a B or a C (overspilling C when I'm on my period... water weight, lovely!). I hate the amount of paddin. I'm about a 32 or a 34 B/C! My mom's the same, haha. I always get the kind with just under-wire to keep them up if that makes sense, and little padding. I can usually only find them at Wal-Mart! If I go to Victoria's Secret, or Lasenza, I can never find bras that don't make me look fake! Yikes.

At my highest weight I was a 40DD and 40D and I wore playtex bras! very comfortable... I got them from Target. They are made for plus size girls mostly I think bc I could never find one lower than a 38. now I wear a 36D usually and even now can fit into 36C but you're right, the padded push up bras are the dumbest things ever. I don't even feel support in them because it's just all padding.

For those with larger chests, try Lane Bryant Cacique! I got a good bra there, they start at 38. They have a LITTLE padding, but it's mostly just how the bra is made, it doesn't have the push-up padding at the bottom and it's just smooth all the way through. It is a demi-cup I believe with convertible straps so you can wear the white straps, clear straps, go strapless, or criss-cross. The cups are a little too big for me now but it is still a good bra in terms of support.

I hate Victoria's Secret bras, they do not work well with us big chested girls. Try the playtex bras or Cacique! A good well-fitting bra can make you look amazing :)

Ahhah I am a DD and I need the extra padding other wise you will know the tempature.
    Lol yes, but a D

I love Triumph bras, I have three of the everyday ones, they are soft cup but not too thin, have a bit of lace around the chest so they are still nice, but work well with plain tees as well, I have a black, a beige and a white. I also have triump sports bras, an underwire high impact one and a soft purple one that still holds my D's well in netball.

Victoria's Secret just doesn't have anything in my size. :(
So I get my bra's from Lane Bryant. It's one of the only stores I can find that carries a 42F that's cute looking. But judging by how my bra's are fitting gonna have to go shopping soon lol. (yays) lol

I'm a c-cup and I like the push up but not the padding. Plus if you wash them and especially if you dry them they're ruined in like 2 weeks. I'm not a fan of having to hand-wash/line dry things

I'll remember this thread and come back and comment when I get my full D boobs. I can't quite feel your pain right now with barely B's!!

Okay - never mind our daily bra's. What about sports bra's?! I am a DD...and I find it difficult to find sports bras that give me enough support while exercising. Any suggestions?!

I get annoyed how 95% of VS bras are push up. I am fine with how my boobies look, they don't need or want more help.

    I prefer Triumph
  • I used to hate extra padding..... ah back when I was a 36 D.....
Sadly losing weight has me liking the padding in my 32B.... without it I look down & think I hear the faint sound of Taps or amazing grace being played in the background  Places I want to shrink like that hang onto the fat meanwhile my girls could use a chocolate bar! :grumble:

This is what I find extremely frustrating- push up bras.. I am a full D, and it is baffling to me how many D-cup bras have thick padding. They're always the extra extra cute ones I want, but there's just no way I'm buying one that's padded. Why the heck would need more padding? Ugh.

Well, not all D cups are large. I technically am a 34C, but I can wear a 32D comfortably since they are sister sizes. I need padding cause I am teeny weeny. I think that manufacturers make bras for us smaller women, and then just make them larger without changing anything else for you guys. Which of course is stupid, but that's my only guess as to what is going on there.

*Scoff* I know, right? I'm a D-cup as well, and while I adore cutesy bras, it's the padding that kills me. Sheesh if I push 'em up any higher all you're gonna see are eyebrows and my forehead. It's always the hard choice too. Cute+padded, or plain jane+non-padding.

hahaha this made me laugh out loud!

I'm a FF/G so I know the pain! I find bra's from bravisimo really good but they are £30 a time so i normally buy a couple from Primark/Matalan to keep me going whilst I save up!!

Sometimes I hate being so big cupped as it makes finding bras in a cheap shop so hard!

*SIGH* i miss having full D's. i think here soon, i may fit into a c-cup, oooh the consequences of weight loss! i went from volumptuous knockers to deflated ones.....wah waaaaaah

push up bras just have the padding for the shape and to push the boobs in!! now a days they have padless push up bras, i dont know how good they are, but i've seen them out there. i dont mind a little padding, just to keep the shape but i dont have some balconnet bras that have very little padding and those are awesome!

I am a 32F and I can never find a sports bra with enough support.........so I wear the sports bra over my normal one :-) much much more comfortable.

I know, it's crazy. And unhelpful, it makes them less supportive, I find. I can't run in a padded bra.
