Hi there, you can adjust almost any recipe to be healthy I use this website, it is my absolute fav site as it breaks down the calories carbs etc for you... it is http://www.healthyfood.co.nz... they have all the meals you mentioned adapted to be healthy and many many more that your kids will enjoy.

I am speaking from experience, I have four children and I cook from this website at least a few times a week. tonight we had, http://www.healthyfood.co.nz/recipes/2007/october/peanut-chicken-and-rice,

I substituted the chicken for prawns and only put in 1tsp of curry powder and it went down quite well, (my kids are not adventurous eaters) best thins is it was only 330cals and I had a large salad on the side..YUM!

Good luck.. feel free to add me as a friend if you like, I am new :flowerforyou:

This is a healthy take on sloppy joes. Kids will love it and it's pretty healthy. I use half steak sauce and half BBQ sauce, when I cook it. It's also really simple for those crazy week night night.

    Ingredients

    2 teaspoons olive oil
2 onions, such as Vidalia or white, sliced
12 ounces lean all-white-meat ground turkey
    1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
    1/2 cup bottled steak sauce
    Salt and pepper
    Whole-grain rolls, toasted

    Directions

    1. Rub oil in a heavy skillet. Heat skillet to medium-high heat.

    2. Saute onion until it just turns soft.

    3. Add turkey, marjoram, and salt and pepper to taste; saute 5 to 7 minutes.

    4. Stir in steak sauce. Heat through; serve on toasted whole-grain rolls.
