If you're using the MFP app and are frustrated that you can't see forum posts....

Use your browser!

Smart phones have those, ya know!

... Posted from my phone, walking to the train. :flowerforyou:

Is that why they're called "smart" phones?

Just because the phone is smart, it doesn't mean the person using it.........nevermind

I think you're just showing off. Not all of us are computer or "smart phone" wizards.

My brother reads it to me over the phone, and I tell him what to type up for the reply.
Why, how do you do it?

That really isn't the point. Yes, I can just open a browser - and I'm in one right now on the phone so I'm not "lazy"- but there's a dedicated app; it syncs everything else, so why can't it support a read and write forum? The MFP website is identical to the first page of the app with the exception of being able to view other diaries at the end of the day, and clicking on topics leading to the forums. To top it off, the website isn't even mobile friendly!

Boo hoo, right? Obviously, I'll still use it, but these are basic issues that *everyone* using the site can benefit from... I just don't understand why this isn't a priority - forums could be populated by more people if they had more convenient access. Myself for example, I only respond or browse when I have time or on an interesting topic.

How much money do you spend on membership fees for MFP?

The running and maintenance of websites cost money; so does developing apps for smart phones.

You've posted 4 times. That's counting the one I'm quoting. JUST sayin.

"JUST sayin" that I haven't posted like you? Look, the poster above you joined a whole year before you, and you have literally hundreds more posts. It's not about the post count. I'm not harping on your post quality; maybe you have lots of great scientific posts or maybe you don't - I'm not going to search the forums for them, but really... please post a more constructive criticism (like the person above). Just because I don't have oodles of posts doesn't mean I'm less able to contribute to the forums.

Yes, I haven't posted much (here), but I lurk more often than post for reasons I won't be getting into here. I know for a fact that I would post more on my friends' diaries and in the boards if they were available in app. It's purely a convenience factor because I am not at a desktop for much of the day, if at all.

    Point taken.

It's a wonderful service that they offer for free, but with the use that they get (daily, literally) - I'm sure there are other people including myself who wouldn't be above donating to show support for the developers along the way and to help cut some costs.
