I have a male friend who started working out recently and he has, well, not a concern, but he's curious if he's the only one. He told me that oftentimes, after a workout, he finds himself aroused. He stated that he works out later at night and the gym is usually empty, so it's not a visual arousal from hot women.
I personally do not have a similar post-workout feeling, but I am female. So I don't know if maybe its a guy thing or what. But I thought I would just ask to see if anybody was willing to share. Please don't get explicit or lewd, I'm not trying to start a thread like that (and really don't need to know that much. :P). But he was self conscious about it and I'd just like to help ease his self-consciousness a bit.
Thanks in advance.

I usually have a great high and amazing mood after a good workout... but that is about it....0

could be something as simple as the kinda material his gym clothes are and if theyre rubbing just the right way .. IDK.. i dont have that particular issue but a possible explanation0

That would be embarassing.0

I don't get that feeling because my blood is pumping to other parts of my body. Maybe he should lift heavier weight. I do notice after a night of heavy drinking my *kitten* won't stay down no matter how many times i try to get it to stop!0

My boyfriend feels the same way after working out (and he works out before I even get home so I know it's not me )0

Haha. I can imagine him pouncing on you right when you open the door.0 -
Sounds like he's a Guy. There is no rhyme or reason for that kind of thing sometimes.
If It's out of character for this person maybe what quigonnjae said.0 -
Can I assume that there are a lot of mirrors in the weightlifting area? Same thing happens when I look in the mirror.0

Is he 12 years old, by chance? That would explain it.0

Am a normal guy, eat right, work out daily, and that has never happened to me.0

YES! It can be quite distracting when you are trying to get to sleep :laugh:0

Wow, quick replies. Thanks everyone so far. So, it seems that it's not necessarily common, but he's not alone.
And I'll mention the clothes to him too. Like I said, he's sorta new to working out and I think he just uses whatever shorts and stuff he already had. Maybe he should look into some different stuff for working out.0 -

hmmmm are you trying this on your own or with help? Maybe you should try some different... methods :devil:0 -
Man this brought up a bad memory from 9th grade Spanish. Did you really have to call on me to come to the front of the class at that moment teacher? The one day I had my shirt tucked in? The one day the hottest chick in class wore a short skirt?
To answer the question though, no that doesn't happen to me. Probably for the best as my wife most likely wouldn't let me do anything about it being sweaty and smelly...0
