I was having that same issue years ago. luckily it was still under warranty. Now however it's not and problem has come back. Try putting it on an incline and using it, it helps the belt out and will slip less if at all. the bigger the incline the easier it will be for the belt to move without slipping. the guys that came to fix mine mentioned that to me when they were fixing it.0

Treadmill doctor is great. Slipping treadmill belt is AWFUL.
Funny cautionary tale to follow:
My treadmill belt was all the way to the right and actually getting in the way of the legs. I youtubed it and went to the treadmill doctor site, and got all smart and learned there are just 2 adjusting screws for the tension. So I unscrewed more than recommended, but it was really bad. Then I called it good. The next time I got on it, I noticed it slipping. Course, I just started at running. I didnt' try this with a nice walk first. No. That would have been smart. So it slipps again and I realize it isn't a vertigo-balance problem. I stop messing around with my music and all the other stuff, and am going to get off, when it slips again and positively ejects me in a furious cloud of fail. Worse than the Biggest loser treadmill fails. that was Saturday. The ankle feels less bad, and the swelling is down, but the bruising is remarkable. I went back on the treadmill for the first time today, but it wasn't long, cuz, truthfully, I'm afraid of it.
So, don't be a dope like me. When you do what you need to do, make sure you tighten the belt again. Same screws, same allen wrench. They say if you can lift it in the middle of the sides and it goes up 2-3 inches, that's the right tension. It was WAY looser when I had my dismount.
I kindda wish I'd gotten it on video. I'd be laughing still.0 -
Thanks for the assist. I'm going to try playing with the tension.0

Stay safe!!
Seriously, I'm pretty sure you're not as dumb as me, so you'll learn from my mistake and be fine. Good luck! 0
