Roast your own meat ( chicken, beef) for dinner and put it on you sandwich the next couple of days.0

any from a co-op deli meat counter will be better than most, especially if you go with organic.

I think it's all pretty processed. I tend to buy Boars Head brand if I buy it cause it seems the least, black forest ham or turkey. But even better, just buy a turkey breast or chicken breast, roast it, and slice it up for your sandwiches. Then you know what you're eating. More work, but tastes way better too.0

There are brands that offer all natural deli meats with no preservatives. Aside from that I don't think one is more or less processed than another.0

I'm with Christy and Chantal. I roast or poach chicken breasts and slice 'em for sandwiches. Deli meat is very high in sodium and nitrates/nitrites. I have no trouble with water retention and swelling since I've switched. Try it. You might like it!0 -
Hormel Natural Oven Roasted Turkey, Chicken, Ham and Beef. So far it's the best one in the refrig section I've seen at a regular store unless u go 2 a whole food place.0

I guess this is one thing i would go to whole foods for.0 -
If you're looking for prepared deli meats, I like DaBecca brand best. The ingredients are all real foods and there are no preservatives. Of course it's still pretty high in sodium. The herb roasted turkey breast is quite tasty, and the roast beef is amazing. You can actually taste the spices they use.0
