I haven't felt too good for last 24hours....quite nausous and gasy. Weighed myself this morning and the scales have gone up. Anyone think there is a link here?

Absolutely. You're probably bloated/constipated/retainingwater/otherwise just unbalanced. It will go down. And I say that after one week of having "gained" 5 lbs. and dropping it all again as of this morning. Stick with it, gorgeous!

I feel quite a lot of those things at the moment!
  • It's possible the foods you're eating are not agreeing with you. I find that after eating processed or fast foods. My stomach seems to go haywire.

Yep. I get that once a month, and have learned to ignore it. So long as the overall trend is that I am losing weight I don't panic if sometimes my weight goes up as well as down. For me it's only when the (temporary) weight gain rocks my motivation that it becomes a problem.

Maybe you have a little bit of a stomach bug or bacterial imbalance... I used to have some similar symptoms when I went to Bavaria and travelling... I took some probiotics and lots of water and it eventually settled down. If you've eaten a lot of veg, especially raw, this may have contributed to the effects too. Maybe try taking some imodium or similar to settle things a bit! :) Charcoal tablets also help reduce the flatulence/bloating etc... Funnily enough...they use the same stuff in gas masks/respirators! It's quite effective, I was taking it with sparkling (I know sounds bizarre for gas!) mineral water. I think it was more the minerals that helped balance my electrolytes out that helped! :)

As a nursing student sometimes the advice on here scares me.... Imodiums is a blocker/stopper. It is only good to stop diorreah, and to stop dehydration from excessive fluid loss that comes with it. If you are bloated, gassy or constipated this will not help, only hinder and you can risk doing damage to your bowel and intestines.

I'm not keen on taking tablets.

I can't put my finger on what i've eaten that could have made me feel like this. I did have some skewered chicken yesterday and couscous which i don;t normally have. Not sure what else it could be!

Couscous doing a little sticky-expandy dance in your digestive tract...sodium from the chicken...who knows. Plenty of H2O and a couple days ought to do the trick.

That's what I was thinking- God! That has the complete opposite effect and I would only resort to this stuff in dire emergencies!

Drink Peppermint tea- it is brilliant for bloating.
