I see that strength training is apart of the exercise section but what is the point of recording it if your not counting calories or learning how much much muscle your using....is it there just for convenience?

Maybe you like to keep track of what you did on a particular day and be able to watch your progress as you increase weight.
Though I agree - its weird that it doesn't calculate calories.0 -
If you are ever in a gym and see people with their little notebooks or exercise cards, the strength training log here replaces those. I just carry my smartphone with me and track my activities there. In short, it's a log and diary for those activities. If I want "calorie credit" for those activities, I just log "Strength training" in the cardiovascular category.0

Under cardio there is an option to record strength training that does use calories. As for reasons to record it, I record it so I know when it's time to increase the weight.0

This is a good post, I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago. But I kind of figured like shivaslives and wellbert said, it's more so just to keep track of your weightlifting progress. But since I don't have a smartphone to instantly keep track I prefer the good ole pencil and paper route0

You do record strength training for calories burned. You just do it in the cardio section by typing in strength training. As for the strength training section itself it is to record progress. Some peole on here are looking to increase strength and endurance.0

I wear a HRM, and I know by doing this that my strength training exercises burn calories, so I simply record the calories burned under cardio, as the previous poster suggested.0
