Hi my name is Becky and I discovered this website through another site, Cathe.com
I've been fighting 40 pounds off and on for 14 years now. Even when I *lose* it, it seems to find me again.:frown: I've recently realized I need to revamp my lifestyle and mindset not just my diet.
I am hoping this is a place for positive encouragement and motivation.
Do those of you who are achieving success have any words of wisdom or recommendations?
Any books which have helped with diet overhaul.?
I hate to ask for fear someone will think I'm waiting for tomorrow to start as that is apparently not an acceptable attitude! which I do understand, but, honestly, it kind of scared me! :embarassed:
Thanks for any advice!

My advice? Be honest, track ALL calories, EAT you exercise calories and come play on the boards often. You can do this!! Believe in yourself, and you will go far! :flowerforyou:

    Hey Becky !
This site is great , you will be glad you found it ! I love finding new foods to make that are healthy and good for me . Hungrygirl.com is great ! And my advice as far as working out is find a lot of FUN things to do , I do Cardioke and Bob Harper(biggest loser) Boot camp ! They are on Demand on Comast is you have that . And my new fav is ZUMBA . Go to www.zumba.com to find classes in your area ! Great Workout !

I try to switch it up everyday , walking the dog , cardio , dancing ZUMBA , and recently my bf and I got tennis rackets (no idea how to play) but its fun and a good workout :)

Good Luck to you Chica :)

Thank you! DIShonesty is probably a big reason of why I am overweight!
I did a food journal last week when I thought I was being careful and I was still eating 2000 calories a day and on several days, no fruits or veggies. The scale doesn't lie though, does it?
Thanks so much for the kind welcome!
