I
Let me begin by saying I know this is a personal journey and there is no *one size fits all* program. Someone would be very rich if there were!
But I am curious to know something...those of you who are having success with *clean eating* which to me means...lots of whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean meats, limited sugar, preservatives, etc
Did you give it all up at once?
Reduce quantities gradually?
I guess in other words....cold turkey or did you use a *patch* (so to speak)?
Just wondering if one method seems to have more long term success than another???
Thank you for sharing!

  • My big verse was pop. I was a Pepsi-a-holic. I just gave up on that with cold turkey. I switched to a low calorie herbal energy drink. I started losing weight instantly this way. I then stopped going for seconds for every meal. That seemed to help too. Last, I got on here and with the help of supplements and changing my diet all together have lost 49 pounds since Christmas. Gradual is the way to go, but don't be alarmed if a drastic change happens right away by changing you diet.

I changed slowly. Started eating better, the cut out things. Caffeine was one of the first to go. I found that as I ate better, I felt better. That was the thing that kept me going. Although I am not totally a clean eater, I would say I am bout 95% of the time and my body appreciates it

    slowly reduced.
  • I've been attempting to lose weight for awhile and i started gradually. Basically my first big change was limiting pizza's and pasta's, then I decided to go vegetarian, now I am limiting the type of mini candy I keep in the house to extreme dark chocolate instead of twix mini's and stuff like that. I suggest doing it slowly because otherwise you will back track and then you'll be kicking yourself for it. Good luck!!!!! :drinker:
