Need to chage things up

I've been on and off MFP for about a year now but have been sticking to it for the past couple months (I did fall of the wagon Halloween weekend... oops) and have seen results, which is great! Recently, though, I feel like I've been stuck in a rut. I looooove running, so working out is no problem for me (I even do strength training once or twice a week, even though I hate it). However, I've been feeling bloated recently, so I haven't dared to step on the scale to see if I've gained or maintained my weight. But I'm pretty sure food is where I'm falling short here. I've been staying within my calorie budget every day, but I don't think my food choices are the best.

Does anyone have any specific diet that their following or any advice on how I can clean up my eating? I work with children and pretty much eat like them too... fruits and veggies don't excite me at all. So any advice on how to make them more appealing would be great!

If you're not eating fruits and veggies then you must be eating meats, carbs etc instead. I don't go extremes but I've tried re-arranging the meats, veggies, fruits and carb portions.

Used to be big carb portion and smaller meat, veg, fruits. Now all portions are equal and even try to make the carb the smallest portion. Small portion of rice. 1/2 slice of bread etc. I've gone to eating an apple when hungry to get me though until the next meal.
  • I am not a big veggie person but I am trying. I have committed to trying one new vegetable per week. So I pick one and then google preparations for them. Sometimes they are a hit and sometimes they end up in the trash but at least I feel like I am trying. And believe it or not I have found many that I DO like.
