Thanksgiving Desserts

Hi everyone! Thanksgiving is about two weeks away. I'm starting to look into what I'm going to make for Thanksgiving. Desserts are usually always on me. We always have pumpkin pies, this year I'm thinking of making a cranberry swirl cheesecake and maybe something else. What are you making for dessert for Thanksgiving? Mine will not be low-fat, low-calorie or healthy

Yum! I love pumpkin cheesecake! My family is so traditional they have to have pumpkin pie! So I don't know if I want to have more than 1 pumpkin dessert (if it was up to me then yes!). I'm such a nerd, I write down all the potential recipes in a list categorized by the type of dessert then I narrow it down.0

Every year I make a pumpkin cheesecake! It is fantastic, full of real cream cheese, real eggs, real sugar, and flour... not low cal or low fat but HIGH TastY!0

I love making trifles! They are so pretty and always look impressive when you take them out. I'm thinking of making one of these for Thanksgiving.I brought Pumpkin Trifle to a potluck last year and it was absolutely devoured - and it made a huge bowl!

We aren't big pumpkin pie fans here, so I'll be baking Dutch Apple Pie instead! As the chief cook for Thanksgiving, it will be mostly healthy side dishes this year. The Apple Pie is the big indulgence for us!0

I make sweet potato pie. You can make it basically like you do pumpkin, but I use fresh sweet potatos. I'm not a fan of canned stuff. Plus the Sweet potato is sweeter than pumpkin so you can cut down the sugar a bit.0

Pumpkin Cheese Cake sounds delish! My family is also traditional and insists on Pumpkin Pie but one year my sister brought Pumpkin Cake and now that is all we ever want on TG.0

My husband's aunt gave me her recipe for pumpkin upside down cake - OMG it is the best Thanksgiving dessert ever! You mix some spices with the pumpkin puree, then top it with yellow cake mix (dry) drizzled it with melted butter and pecans. The cake mix sounds funny, but it is an amazing dessert!0

Well, I don't reckon it's so healthy but my son will be making his home made pecan pie. YUMMMMY!! He makes the best home made pie crust!:happy:0
