i must admitt the best thing ive ever bought is my little puppy, instead of astaying in bed until 8.30 on work days i have to get up at 7am to go walk the dog and instead of laying in bed until 10-11am on my days off im have to get up at 8am to walk my dog, i then have to walk her in the evening after work and on my days off. so i am now getting between 3-5 mile walk a day wich i would not have had 2 weeks ago. i feel so much better my skin is looking lovely and even tho im not getting as much sleep as before i have more energy
because im already awake ill get home and do an hour on my cross trainer (i would have been in bed at this time) and crack on with what i have to do in the day.
if u have time id defonatly reccomend a dog for health, company and weight loss

My dog is 7 now. That's about 59 in dog years. He still acts like he's a puppy. I love my Boykin.0

i just read an article about dog owners, they are healthier and more active, for obvious reasons, than people without a dog; and it lessens their risk for obesity by 10% i think....cant quite remember but it was interesting to read. also they lower stress and just make you happier, defintely glad i got my puppy!! she keeps me company since i'm alone most of the time and i get to take her for walks!0

I agree!!
I recently got a three-month-old Border Collie and he has been the best investment ever for my health0 -
I need to get back in the habit of walking our dogs. We have 2 German Shepherds & 2 English Bulldogs. If we walk the bulldogs, we can only make about 1/2 mile before her breathing gets out of control. I swear, I'm going to get her a portable oxygen tank! The Shepherds love to go for walks, but the older one (he's 9) forgets that he's older & cannot keep up with the 2 year old; he ends up over doing it and then limps around for a while afterwards.0

I agree. I have two Shelties, both who like to go for walks/run. All I have to say is the word walk or run and I'm on the hook because they get all excited and harass me until I'm taking them. The poor puppy thought we were going running last night as I had on my stuff, but it was too cold and wet to go running outside, so I did the treadmill.
Hurray for dogs helping us get healthy!0 -
We got our in March of this year.. thanks to her I get out of the of house several times a day and breath fresh air and enjoy some sunshine.. I don't walk her though.. she's too big and strong..it's more like she drags me through the neighborhood lol0

I fully agree that a dog{s} are the greatest fitness motivators, Black Lab and Great Dane here. :drinker:0
