My theory..........lol

I knew this calorie counting thing was going to be tough. It blows my mind how many calories are in foods that have otherwise been labeled as "healthy". Its mind boggling! I have come to the following conclusions(LOL):
1. Make healthy (or healthiER) food choices. Period. Thats a no brainer.
2. Don't wait until you are starving to eat! Your body holds ON to fat when you are hungry; until you give it something to burn.
3. Don't eat until you are STUFFED and ready to roll over and die. Eat until you are "satisfied". Thats the key!
4. Its better to eat smaller portions, more frequently, than it is to it bigger portions, less frequently.
5. Drink a glass of water BEFORE you eat. It'll help curb the hunger, then you eat less.
6. MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! It doesn't even have to be anything excruciating, as long as you are moving around. Walking, housework, playing with the kids, anything........
I find that to be a less complicated and threatening way to view a healthier lifestyle, that will eventually lead to weight loss and better health. Its all about breaking old habits and having the strength and stamina to break out of your comfort zone and into a 'new you'. Its a change for the good!
Regardless of our personal motivations and weight loss style, we CAN do this!! We are all here for the same end result.

Love your positive attitiude! The only thing I would add to the list is cut out all sugary drinks. They have been proven to add pounds faster since they are metabolised quicker. :drinker:0

I am right with you, I keep thinking that I am going to have to lose all of this weight to be beautiful to my husband. (My biggest worry is not being attractive to him) At the same time, I need to learn these "lessons" also while realizing that I am beautiful because I am a good person, I am a wonderful mother, and I have a full life. There is nothing about my life that I would change for anything. My wedding is going to be enjoyable and fun and I don't need to worry about what I look like in the dress because my husband is the one who knows me completely and still loves me the way that I am. So, I am going to look fabulous no matter what my weight is and the world is going to love it.
Maybe a better attitude will help with the attempt at a healthy lifestyle.0 -
It can all become SOOO overwhelming if we obsess about the end result instead of realizing that it is the baby steps that is going to get us there! If we congratulate ourselves more for the little things, then the end result will be that much more rewarding!! We are ALL worthy of feeling good about ourselves and being happy!0

Hahaha, don't worry, its not a real baby, lol. It is a new addition to the Ashton Drake Dolls. They call her "It Ain't Easy Being Cute". I just found the expression on her face adorable! The price tag isn't that cute mind you, lol.0

That is hilarious! :laugh: Sorry to keep you wondering all day, LOL! Those dolls can be creepy sometimes because they look so real. My babies are aged 13 and 11 and rest assured they don't look like that, lol.
