im organizing old workout/food journals and am looking over the amount of weight i began lifting compared to now. It got me curious; with these basic lifts, where did you start and where are you now (and how long did it take)? bicep curls: 10lbs 3 years ago, 40lbs now. shoulder press; 15 lbs 2 years ago, 50 now. bench press: 40lbs last year, 140 now. deadlift: 70lbs 5 months ago, 145lbs now. lawnmowers: 20lbs 2 years ago, 60lbs now. tricep extensions (nosebreakers/skullcrushers) 15 lbs 2 years ago, 50lbs now.

  • i have watched you reach every goal that you have set for yourself and am soooooo very proud of your accomplishments. i hope someday i will be lifting that kind of weight but for now i am happy curling the 15/ deadlifting the 80/ nosebreaking 20's. someday---someday. :)

Now thats a bloody good question, i did make tons of notes in the first 2 months of training and wrote everything down. I need to find that book!! My weights have increased over the last 6 months but i could't say by how much all i know is ive added an inch and a half to my chest, an inch on each arm and lost 3 and a half from my waist.

I am just starting a weight lifting program and did my first log today but on the "New Rules for Women Lifting Weights" group, someone posted this link with what your progress should be. It is interesting but I will admit I haven't taken the time to do research into the validity of the numbers.

  • Deadlift 2 years ago (HS) 175 Now (college) 225
    bench then 75 now 95
    squat then 160 not 175
    bicep curls unimportant lol
just my progress since then haven't been tracking since i started lifting so i don't have my numbers written down

Well, if we could all call you boodle butt safely we might be more supportive. I'm concerned you might eat my ankles.
I'm going to start keeping a log as soon as I hit my crossfit classes and move beyond the one on one training.
