Tomorrow is my treat day, and I've discovered Oikos greek frozen yogurt! It is 400 calories for the whole container and comes in chocolate, honey, vanilla, and blueberry flavors. Has anyone tried this?????...I would hate to waste my treat on something that doesn't taste good. Give me your reviews, por favor!

I wonder if you could just freeze greek yogurt and try it that way?
Yes you can! Not sure about the consistency because I haven't tried what the OP is talking about, but I'll often mix a scoop of protein powder in with greek yogurt and freeze it, it's great!0 -
Oh my Goodness, I would love to try that....I think I'll go on that website and see what is said about it. I havent' seen it in the grocery store, but that doesn't mean anything. I would probably not be looking for it.0

Just so you know, as far as I can find, Greek yogurt is strained yogurt, regular yogurt that has been strained in cheesecloth and a strainer to remove more of the liquid (whey).
So, it's the same as yogurt, only thicker. Maybe a little more concentrated sour yogurt taste..0 -

I often freeze regular Greek yogurt for dessert. My favorite combos are (all with a single serve 6oz yogurt):
- two tablespoons of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder, a tiny bit of pure peppermint extract and half a teaspoon of your preferred sweetener.
- 1/4 cup pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spices to taste, half teaspoon of preferred sweetener
- two tablespoons (dry) of PB2, half teaspoon of preferred sweetener
- teaspoon of cinnamon, half teaspoon of preferred sweetener
I pop it in the freezer and let it set around the edges, then I give it a good stir and let it set until almost frozen solid, but not quite. It's fairly awesome.
(I also eat any of the above combos without the freezing part. )0
