    I was going to say, he's curling the same weight as the woman and yes the gloves. The gloves are a sign that he's serious and knows what he's doing.

    I was thinking that he wasn't much bigger than the girl! But I think he is supposed to be showing her how to do it, hence the reason he is lifting the same weight as her.
