I'm trying my hardest to lose 100lbs before the summer but i would really like some advice on how i could lose the weight other than going to the gym 5x a week. I would also like to know how i can keep the weight off =) Give me all the advice you can! thanks

    Assuming you mean June when you say summer - you probably can't even if you DO workout 5 times a week. That's an average of 14 lbs a month.

    the first couple months you can expect some big losses like that but after that you should assume between 5 and 10 lbs a week.

    However working out (strength training, not so much cardio) will make your body look a lot better even at a higher weight.

    You should only need to workout 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes to get decent results so see if you can stand to commit that much.

    Don't try to crash diet your way to 100 lbs of loss. Crash dieting works for a few months but you won't be able to keep it up forever and honestly almost everyone who crash diets gains the weight back.

    A 50 lb loss by summer would be a reasonable expectation.

    start w small goals like losing 10 lbs, Track everything you eat and track all your exercise. Don't beat yourself up if you have a Bad day just get back on track. Be proud of your accomplishments! And drink lots of water. Good luck!

    To lose the weight, you should be working out and eating right. Find whatever exercise you like to do and just do it. Walking, dancing, running, swimming, exercise video's... It doesn't matter as long as you keep moving! And eating right.. :-)
