    I AGREE WITH KEL9680,

    ONE THING I DID CUT BACK ON ALOT WAS JUNK FOOD AND SODAS. I WAS A PERSON THAT DIDN'T CARE FOR WATER, BUT I WOULD DRINK IT. BUT NOW I DRINK 6-8 ( 20OZ ) BOTTLES OF SAM'S CHOICE WATER. SOMETIMES I DON'T REALIZE THAT I ACTUALLY DRANKED THAT MUCH. I JUST RECENTLY STARTED MY JOURNEY THE BEGINNING OF THIS MONTH , BUT I KNOW I CAN DO IT. MFP HAS BEEN GREAT MOTIVATION FOR ME. I HEARD THAT THE LESS YOU WEIGHT SHED THE EASIER IT IS TO KEEP OFF. SO GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE HERE AND CONGRATS TO THE ONES THAT ARE CLOSE TO THEIR WEIGHT GOAL...

    I HAVE TRIED THE WHOLE GRAIN PASTA AND PIZZA...AND THEY ARE REALLY GOOD. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS EATING / COOKING BROWN RICE.

    CAN ANYONE TELL ME A BETTER WAY TO COOK THIS.

    If you're using the Minute Rice, try adding a little bit extra water, like...maybe a couple tbls. and boil it a little before taking it off the heat. Just a minute or so. If that doesn't work...I don't know what to tell ya. Goodluck though!

    The first thing I did was throw out my delivery menus. Now when I want pizza, I make myself walk down to my fantastic local pizza place (Hard Times for anyone in L.A.) and order a slice. I sit there and savor every last bite and then walk back to the house. Hungry Girl http://www.hungry-girl.com/ has some lower cal pizza and pasta recipes but I haven't tried any of them.

    My best advice for rice is buy a rice cooker. They're cheap and fantastic kitchen gadgets.
