I was doing research on raw living and I found some amazing things.

I'm not a Doctor. But these people are curing their diabetes. Dr. Gabriel Cousens proves this.

Go his website too for his book for the cure. www.drcousens.com

Here's someone else that cured his diabetes with raw green juicing!!

This isn't freaken spam either. I have nothing to do with the links at all. I have a long history on this site if you check out my profile!!

  • You do not need a special raw diet to cure type 2 diabetes. Weight loss and a healthier diet period will go along way towards "curing" diabetes and allow your metabolism to correct and deal with insulin properly. I sure hope this man isn't trying to sell anything AKA take advantage of sick people.

Just check the link, it's another Vegan program.
The only problem I have with it is when they say they can reverse or cure Type I diabetes.
Unless you have a spare pancreas in your toolbox that ain't gonna happen.

Type I and Type II are complete opposites, one is a complete lack of insulin and the other is WAY too much insulin.
One can be fixed with a healthy diet and regular exercise
The other is a life long struggle to manage carbs, and blood sugar.

Low carb diet is good for pre-diabetes. I used to be one and not any more.

I totally agree with this. I've been on MFP since June; at the end of the month I expect my blood work to show I no longer am diabetic. This has been accomplished with a seriously hard look at what I was eating, help from a Registered Dietician and exercise to lose 41 pounds (so far- I have about 70 more to go). I know that I am lucky to a 1) caught the diabetes early and 2) am able to reverse it with a good eating plan and exercise. Someone with type 1 does not have that option. That said I will have to always be mindful of what I eat so the insulin resistance doesn't reoccur.

Exactly what other people have said... Type 2 *can* be reversable by healthy lower carb, or GI diets. The Vegan Raw diet is not a bad option either as it doesn't usually contain a lot of sugars.

My Husband is Type 1, and no amount of diet or exercise will reverse that. The only difference would be he would have to take less insulin.
