There really isn't a good spot to post this so I thought it would go best under fitness.

I've been having low back and sciatica pain in one of my legs for over a decade. Recently I'm having neck, shoulder and arm pain. I've had two MRIs on my back that were negative. I've been going to physical therapy and the arm pain is pretty much gone but I still have the other problems. I've scheduled an appt. to see an acupuncturist. Anyone have any experience with them and did they help? Any other suggests on what I should try? My PT released me the other day..guess he figured he couldn't do anything else for me.

  • Acupuncture is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a pain saver. I would bet he/she will fix you right up.

I used to think it was a bunch of crap. Then my hubby went to see one... he had been in a terrible semi accident when he was a kid and he hadn't had any feeling in two of his fingers and had limited use of one hand due to the accident. He also was getting carpal tunnel. The docs did a scan and said the nerves weren't firing, he'd need major surgery on his arm and hand and would lose more of his use of his hand. He went to an acupunturist and after just one session got all the feeling back. Went back to the doc, they did the nerve test again and everything was working like it should! I coudn't believe it.

It lasted about six months before he needed another treatment.

So it must do SOMETHING because it fixed his hand which had been injured for over 30 years.

I have had acupuncture for stress and high blood pressure and it worked very well:bigsmile: but now treat my self with Reiki  (Universal energy), it not only helps relieve the pain but has a very calming effect too .
I would say that you have little to lose by trying a few sessions.
    Good Luck.

Don't spend your life with someone you can live with, Spend it with someone you can't live without!!

    Pain Free !!!!
