I just created a group!

Don't get me wrong, I love love love MFP but I need a program that teaches me to eat better before I can restrict my calories. Often times I track on both I find MFP helps me keep WW in check... a little odd but oh well!

Anyway........... if you want to join me, here's the link: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/718-weight-watchers-points-plus

I'm not trying to knock your decision - but, using MFP DOES teach you to eat properly and in the right serving sizes. I've done WW and personally, I think calorie counting taught me far more about what are the better food choices, the serving sizes, etc than WW ever did.

Actually I find that what I learned on weight watchers is really helping me with MfP! I try to always get 5-6 servings of fruits and veggies (and now I know what an actual serving size is!)
Same goes for proteins, oils, water..
But now that I know how to incorporate those healthy guidelines counting calories is really helpful..

I am doing Both MFP and Weight Watchers as well. I love using both together. I go to the meetings in person and log my food and keep my "free foods" calories in check on here. I find that when I stay within my points, I also stay within my calories on here.

I'm glad you created a group! I tried WW online and like the community and tracking and databases WAY more on MFP. That's why I prefer the actual meetings and weigh ins, and then having support and tracking on here :)
  • I completely agree. I just started doing both and am finally losing weight. AWESOME.
  • I've lost 101 lbs on Weight Watchers. I love WW. I also enjoy this website too.
  • I always eat healthy and feel so much better when I'm doing WW. I think the meetings help me in a lot of areas in my life. Not just diet. It helps me feel in control of my health and my life.
