Those people on MFP who have a picture of their perfectly sculpted skinny little bodies who go jumping around on threads critisizing 'bigger' people about how they are losing weight, and dishing out advice like they know everything!

I wash my pizza, ice cream and pop tarts. So its pretty clean. :P0 -
Ok, so Ill add my own pet peeve besides the above:
I hate when people who are (usually men) much taller and bigger than me say, "Woahhh hold on! Even if you are 4'10" with a small build you should not be 97.5 pounds and losing. You should GAIN weight! See a counselor Miss Anorexic" :grumble:
The funniest part about this all, is my mom is a little shorter than me and at 120 she still needs to lose weight. If people are talking about diets, my mom will sometimes mention how she is on a diet too. People will nod and ask her current and goal weight. My mom will say, "I am 120 right now, and need to get down to at least 100 (only because she is in her 60's and doesnt want to look aged)." THEN people will say, "Wooooah, you are 120 pounds and want to LOSE weight?!"
My mom then goes, "Look at me."
"You don't need to lose weight!!!"
My mom, "LOOK AT ME!"
Then the people look and realize at 120...she needs to lose weight. :grumble: Even in real life some people are so stupid Gahhh!!! :explode:
ps: Both my mom and I have HEALTH PROBLEMS at around 120 pounds, and I have had idiots on here message me telling me I should weigh at least 120 pounds or I'll die!!! WTF!0 -

Some people have a specific idea of how people should be, and obviously get off on forcing their own beliefs down other peoples throats grrr0 -
People who post on internet forums and then upset when people give their opinions on the subject.0
-
Not everyone wants an opinion. maybe just support.0
-
Ok, granted.
I agree it's annoying when people give advice when nobody asked for it, and I often avoid it because of the trouble it causes.
My pet peeve then, would be when people ask a question, where only one answer is acceptable to them0 -
When people post saying 'WHY ARNT I LOSING ANY WEIGHT' and then go on to say i eat right and exercise regulary. Im sorry if that was the case you would be losing weight. Stop lying to yourself and maybe put down the pie?
Sorry for the added rant i just see so much of that on here.0 -

That actually does exist. It could be one of many medical conditions, one of which my mother has. My mom has diabetes and high blood pressure, among other things. For over a year now, she's been working out at least an hour every day and eating clean. Her blood pressure has gotten so much better, but she hasn't lost a single pound of weight. Think before you speak.0 -

Then dont complain about it. Ask advice. Its whining i cant stand.0 -
Most of the time my 14 year old doesn't want to hear my opinion (your pink hair looks unnatural, your bathroom needs a good cleaning, your Spanish grades are bad because you don't study) but she gets my opinion anyway the same way I get her opinion about the way I drive, the dinners I cook, the way I dress and pretty much everything else I do. And it happens that she will give me an unsolicited opinon about something and I realize that she does have a point and I can learn something from it - to me that's the whole point: you "can" learn from other people's opinion even if they are negative.
On the other hand, some of what I say gets disregarded and she tells me flat out that it doesn't matter to her what I think. That's fine, good for her! She will not grow up whining that other people are being mean to her (I'm still hoping she'll learn to keep a clean bathroom). My point is: people have opinions about everything and all the time and they might be good and bad. It's called life!
If you don't want opinions, don't post your picture and don't post your diary. On the other hand, if you want opinons, you have to take the good with the bad. If you want support, some of it might come with opinions. Asking for support without opinion is like saying: only say positive things about me - in other words: lie to me! Negative opinons can turn into great support unless you are unwilling to hear them.0 -

What if she ate only 100 calories a day, she wouldn't lose any weight?0 -

She used to eat under 1,000 calories a day and work out 4 hours a day. In 6 months, she lost 2lbs. thankfully, she actually eats healthy now. And I find it kind of offensive you would even think it would be okay for someone to eat 100 cals in a day.0
