Sunday Dinners

I remember growing up and always having a "special" Sunday family dinner (which was usually my dad's fried chicken) It was the day that we all sat down and didn't rush things. We talked about our week/day, and had a nice dinner.
Usually that also meant some family coming over to enjoy with us. Now I am married and have a child, but I live very far away from my family, but I still like to have a "Big" sunday dinner. which really just means it takes all day to cook.
Does anyone else have weekly traditions like this?
