slice garlic dill pickle and put on cheese,
cook then slice and add chicken sausage ( I use Thin and Trim sweet pepper chicken sausage). Yum!

Asparagus Sandwich Deliciousness....inspired by Paula Deen's recipe but not the same
Ingredients:
5-8 stalks asparagus
frenches brown mustard
2 slices hearty wheat bread
1oz garlic basil jack cheese
1 tbsp butter
Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning
boil asparagus for about 1 minute then remove into a bowl of ice water
Saute asparagus in 1/2 the butter and sprinkle with Tony's to taste
remove asparagus and set aside
with the remaining butter, butter one side of each piece of bread, on the other side spread mustard
Put bread butter side down in same pan you sautéed asparagus in, put cheese on top of mustard
When cheese is melted add asparagus and assemble as a sandwich

This was DELICIOUS. Paula's recipe calls for thousand island rather than mustard and I think I like the mustard better than I would like thousand island. However, her's also called for some red onion which I think would be a nice addition, I will definitely be putting onion on next time. Either way, it was super yummy and simple!0 -
