It might happen, and if you suspect it, then there is an even greater chance. I lowered my goal because I am still not happy.

I saw this program about a woman who was anorexic and her bones were showing everywhere. She pulled some skin from
her belly and said "See I have more to lose" OMG She will never be happy...it's sad :(
  • The reevaluate your goals :] my goal weight was 120 and now im 121 with a goal weight of 110. From there i will bulk then cut again :D

Yeah, I think as long as you aren't like that then it is probably okay.

If you find that you set your goal to be a healthy weight and you're still not happy, well, that may be a problem. As long as you don't want to just see your skeletal frame, then it's okay to want to lose more weight. Just try not to be underweight.

It's quite possible - weight is only one part of how we view ourselves and just seeing a particular number on the scale doesn't automatically bring happiness or satisfaction. And I don't think immediately setting a smaller number goal is the answer - in my opinion it is better to stop along the way, take time to get used to your new body, work on some other goals alongside weight.
Once you've had some time, you are in a better position to make a rational decision about whether your next goal should be to be lighter, fitter, stronger, healthier, happier etc. And reaching those goals might not mean a smaller scale number.

I think what really causes these ideas us that when I was thinner I wanted to lose weight and now that I'm way over that weight I'm just wondering if it'll be enough....but u guys are right at least it'll be less and can keep going....its just those pesky moments of weakness

Yeah, that's a good question. I know that mentally, it will take some time getting used to my new physical appearance after I drop my excess weight and I think that that's normal.
  • Lots of things can make us dissatisfied with the way we look...not just weight. The best remedy I know is to retrain yourself to look at what's RIGHT with your body. From your photo, I can see a great smile, pretty eyes and pretty hair. All too often we look at the two or three things that we'd like to change and forget about the dozen that are already great. Yeah, I'm fat in the middle but I have great legs. Focus on your assets and you'll reduce the chance of not liking your new shape.
