Fast way to lose few inches!

Ok I KNOW it will be temporary, but is there any way of quickly dropping even an inch all over in two weeks? Have a work do and the dress I want to wear is SLIGHTLY too tight. It looks Ok but I would feel more comfy if I lost an inch from the torso. I don't care if scales don't shift, but are there any rapid shrink techniques that are safe and don't involve drugs or magic spells with chicken blood????

I've had friends do a body wrap - its done at spa's. They lost inches immediately after the wrap was over. I never asked if the inches came back tho...Good luck!0

Undies!
Take your dress into the shops and look for some undies that hold you in in the right places - they can really make a difference.0 -
Yeah check out some spa treatments. Also, I find that cutting out starchy carbs for a few days helps with a nice temporary shrink in the mid section.0

you can use a firming cream, they do have a temporary effect if you put the cream on before you put the dress on. I find the loreal range is really good at sucking that last little bit in when you need it. Or slimming panties could work. Otherwise I don't know of any really fast ways to lose inches. Good luck!0

yea definitely a body wrap has worked for me in the past...gets rid of a lot of water weight and if you get a certain kind it is a great skin treatment0

Will look into it, but the hold in underwear won't work due to style of dress. It's more around the chest and upper back it's tight and sadly not because I am well endowed lol. Have wide back and ribs from years of competitive swimming.0

Spanx, reduced sodium, a bit lower carb, and a sauna session the day prior. Also do not workout 1-2 days prior because this might actually cause you to retain more water on the day of wearing your dress, so work out hard up to 48 hours before and then eat low carb, drink lots of water, lots of light food for the 2 days before hand. Good luck. Control garments are a true blessing though.0

http://www.simplylovelylingerie.com/product.php?cat=6 just an example, but there are many styles that go up in a halter or tank form, or bandeau that can hold in your back as well.0 -
Spanx. And if you can manage it, skip dinner the night before in favor of a glass or two of red wine. I know I'll get yelled at on here for this, but the alcohol will get rid of the water weight. Just don't drink any water the next day or it will come back. Think of it as temporarily being a (nonwrinkly) raisin rather than a grape0

Just had a scary thought... Do those wraps involve getting naked??? :-o0

Yeah they do. I've never had a problem doing that at a spa but some people might have issues. Is that a problem?0

Carb cycle!
Drop carbs to around 100g for 3 days then refeed on the 4th day at upwards of 300g.
Do this a few times.

I didn't really measure my upper body but everyone who did 30 day shred with me in October lost a decent amount in inches. You could easily see a difference in 2 weeks...0

Be very aware of what you eat right before the event. Try not to eat a lot of stuff high in sodium so you won't hold onto a lot of water weight.
Other than what's already suggested, I can't think of anything else at the moment.0 -

I'm another advocate of the 30 Day Shred. I didn't measure myself before hand (wish I had!) but my work trousers magically started fitting, so it must have done something
) It's tough but only 27 mins out of your day and a super good workout.

Cheap at home body wrap to do the day before--causes you to lose water weight only, so very temporary, but I've seen it make a significant difference. We used to do it in the military when we were cutting it close on our fitness evals: wrap everything you want to reduce in plastic wrap for the day. One guy I know lost 3 inches on his waist this way in 6 hours. You could even do it just before bed & sleep in it, though I don't know how comfortable it would be...0
