So........
I have been on this website since October 27th and lost 2-3 lbs a week consistently.....even over the Christmas holidays!! :noway:
Slowly, i have introduced little 'treats' here and there and realising i still lose at the end of the week. Then i didn't do AS much exercise and realised i still lost at the end of the week. Then i started going over my calories on the odd day, 100 calories here and there and still i lost at then end of the week!
THEN i got big headed, lazy and complacent and did all of the above!!! And guess what? I put 1 lb ON this week!!
Worst of all i know it is entirely my fault!! I was ready to give up (which i always do when i don't see the scales go my way!) but i went on a long walk and gave myself a talking to!
I know why that pound has gone on (all of the above!) and THAT is why i ended up overweight in the first place!! I don't want to go there again and 1lb isn't the end of the world!
I just wanted to give you guys a heads up for the 'complacency' stage of diet! And now I have a renewed enthusiasm for my healthy lifestyle!!

At least you caught it at a pound, it's good to play around and see how much you can actually get away with before it catches up.0

Thank you Amanda, I have been feeling a little lazy myself only got to the gym twice this week where I had been going daily. You have renewed my resolve.
Good luck to you.

I know what you mean Amanda, I haven't gained weight yet but my will power isn't as great and I am constantly fighting overeating. Especially at night, lately all I want to do is eat and I'm pretty sure it's because it is what I always do when I hurt. I figure something has to feel good. I don't know what to tell you for advice because I have no answers for myself yet. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you. ~Karen0

I've been doing the same thing! Only, I've gained 3 lbs!!!!!! Today, however, I have vowed to get back on track and today has been a "good diet" day. I feel so much better when I do the right thing...no guilt! Thanks for the pep talk!

Amanda, Thanks!
I was just thinkging about complacency while driving to work this morning. What will I do with myself once I achieve my goal(s)? I know when I was on the fad diets and achieved my goals I went right back to eating the way I used to and it undid everything I'd achieved.
I appreciate your pointing this out and validating my concerns because I know that this is going to have to be a life style change -- permanently that I will have to stay on top of for the rest of my life.
