36's Really?

I wanted to share a victory with you guys. I tried on some 36" pants the other day and they actually fit. At my largest the 44s were comfortable and and the 42s were tight. A 36? really? I got some pant back from my Dad that I hand off to him when I grew out of them in high school.
At my highest I was 310. I was right at 300 when my dad had a stroke, which was my wake up call. I noticed a lot of similarities between the way he was and the way I was. I'm somewhere between 220 and 215 now. I've kinda stalled there. I've been right around there for a few weeks now which is kinda discouraging but I'm trying to stay on the wagon and finish my last 30 pounds then work on maintaining. I just changed my weight loss per week down to one pound and I'm hoping that the increase in calories will help me stay on board and get back to losing.

Same thing happened to me! I went from a 40x32 to a 36x32 this summer. It's really a shame I don't have the money to buy more pants that fit me right now though =-P0

That's completely awesome! Kudos to you for noticing the similarities and changing some bad habits. So many times people think they can't, so they don't. Keep up the great work!0

congrats on the NSV! it's always great to be in a whole different size grouping in clothes!!! hang in there...the longer you do, the less chance those final pounds have of hanging around.
side note: how is your dad now & is he at all interested in joining forces with you to loose weight?0 -
hey I am right there with you. started in 44's, now in a 36 and pushing 34's. i have lost 56 lbs but stalled out also. i have been exercising and staying with it, but not losing weight, losing inches instead. congrats on the victories and the ones to come.0
