Favorite Source of Protein

Lately for me it's been the Milk Chocolate ON Whey Powder mixed with 1 cup Almond Milk.

I also love Cottage Cheese with fruit mixed in, but C.Cheese is loaded w/ Sodium.

What are your go-to protein sources?

Steak, chicken and fish. Nothing like whole food for protein. I do like my shakes for supplementation, but eating your protein is better, IMO.

Bacon and eggs usually every morning for breakfast. Through the day I like nuts, beef jerky and tuna. Chicken is also a big source of protein in our house!

Bacon, eggs, chicken, turkey and steak.

I've also started drinking protein shakes and am a fan of those too... I use Myofusion Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Powder.

Forgot to add my Blue Diamond Butter Toffee Almonds... Those things are amazing!

I am allergic to and cannot digest any dairy (I cannot use any whey protein powders/bars/cottage cheese, etc.), so my main protein (and fat) source is natural peanut butter (sometimes I get reduced fat, though) when I don't have any fish or meat around. You can take it anywhere easily in smaller containers, leave an entire jar at work, eat it with apples, put it on bread with bananas/low sugar jam, etc.

I like a lot of what everyone else has posted, but I'm surprised no one has said TUNA! It's awesome for protein and you can buy low sodium too!

    I also like:

    Shrimp
    Steak
    Chicken
    Pork Tenderloin
Chobani 0% Plain yogurt with fresh fruit
    Eggs
    Canadian Bacon

Grilled chicken and salmon supply the bulk of my protein. Also love yogurt, eggs, cheese, peanut butter. Sometimes I use vegetarian meat alternatives in my pasta (boca, morningstar, lightlife, etc), just depending on what's on-hand at the time. As I get closer to my goal and workout more and more and start upping my calories, I might look into some of the protein powders that people really like, for when I need to get in extra protein and calories but don't really want 'food' right then. But for now it's all food, even my exercise calories. :-)
