Tell me this is possible???

I currently weigh 158.5 lbs, im 5 ft 4, and I want to lose ten pounds in the next five-six weeks.
I'm sedentary most of the time but plan on actually using my zumba on the wii, and my cross trainer/bike. I also have Jillian Michaels DVDs, 30 day shred, ripped in 30, banish fat boost metabolism and killer buns and thighs. I also have a celebrity fit club DVD and Your Shape on the wii. O yeh, I have a Total Gym, one of them chuck norris things
I know, I know, with all this I shouldn't be overweight.
I plan on sticking to my calorie goal (set at 1200) and I accept this is going to be an epic challenge for me.
Is it possible to lose ten pounds in five weeks????? Am I being realistic??
Should I stick with one or two things, ie 30 day shred and cross trainer for the whole time or should I mix it up all the time?
Should I just focus on a exercise calorie goal, regardless of what I do to get there??
Any ideas/tips would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Why?
Did you gain those 10 pounds in 5 weeks?
Eat healthy,
drink water
eat your exercise calories
Do not over train
Sleep 8 hours a night and you will lose 10 pounds in how many weeks is healthy0 -

This is so true!!!! Healthy is the way to go...not worry about the time limits.0 -

I have gained ten pounds in five weeks in the past but not recently, it isnt the reason I want to lose this amount, I want to lose it before seeing alot of family members who live far away, it sounds silly but its important to me.0 -
While it *may* be possible, I would not personally stick a time frame to a weight loss goal.
I would just follow the plan you have set in place and take the weight loss as it comes. It can just get really discouraging if you tell yourself you HAVE to lose 10lbs in those 5 weeks and it doesn't happen.0 -
Possible, but unlikely. That's an extremely ambitious goal.0

I think you've set yourself a really tough target, and maybe you haven't realised you've got christmas bang in the middle of it! I agree with other replies but recognise why you want to do it. If you halved the weight target but worked on the fitness, toning yourself, you can do it.0

i did think that, but five pounds in five weeks i can do wth no exercise atall. was hoping the exercise would boost my results- didnt think 2 lb a week was that tough but now my bubble is well and truly burst!! gutted0 -

I do not know your family but my family would rip me a new one if they knew I tried unhealthy methode to lose weight before seeing them. Just do you best0 -

Burning 1,000 calories a day and limiting my calorie intake still did not result in what you're trying to do.
SOME people have a high enough metabolism that they can lose that much weight in that short of a time in a healthy manner. However, it's very rare. If you've just started and you have the large water weight drop some people have in the first week or three, then you could do it. But you won't be losing 10 pounds of fat.0 -
It could be possible but it would require a lot of disipline and work and probably a little hunger. And there would be no guarantee. That is a pretty agressive weight loss. If you are trying to lose for an event or occasion then you may be able to do it. But you should be prepared to gain some back once you resume eating normally.0
