Not sure what topic this shouid go under, but here goes! I desided I need to start measuring myself, I had lost motivation for a quick minute, hardly speaking to MFP friends, just logging what I was eating and not paying attention to what it was!!! Well I measured my waist! it is a size 43.... OMG!!!! that is 8 inches over the recommened waist size for a women putting me a considerable more health risk that most. I am a very proportionate person, I am tall and fat all over not just my tummy (which actually is a goo thing because it means I do not have large amounts of viceral fat) but I am still fat and I need to get these 8 inches off TODAY (ok that was exaggerated of course) I was originally going for a weight that I wanted to reach, I wanted to lose 60 pounds, I am 12 pounds down so far, but here is my new goal... to lose 8 inches around my waise, might sound better that I only have to lose 8 inches verse 48 more pounds but it takes longer to lose 8 inches (I think)... I need tips, ideas, and motivation to get this 8 inches off ASAP!!!!!

Thanks you guys, you are all awesome!

You'll lose 8 inches off your waist well before you lose the 48. =)
  • HI, I'm sure others will offer great suggestions too, but I found that most of the 4" I have lost from my waistline in the last 2 months was mostly by doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD!! it serious tones you up if you stick at it. Give it a go, you'll be amazed! x
  • I have had such a terrible time time for the past 3 years and I have managed to gain 100 lbs in the process...I am an emotional eater...I love to eat when I am down and when I feel overwhelmed...that is almost always now that I am a single mom of three boys and one has special needs. I am tired all the time now...I do not like to look at myself in the mirror...I hate my arms, my back, my stomach...I even hate my fat hands!!!....lol...I call myself out everyday....
