I really struggle with keeping my sweets under control and losing the last bit of stubborn belly fat that doesnt seem to want to leave. I would really like to hear some of your success stories and hopefully receive some good tips that I could benefit from! Also, what are some really good abs exercises? Are stability/planks the way to go??

The only way to keep your sweets under control is to chose not to put them in your mouth.

Just started making my own dried fruit & nut mix from the deli. Got lots of yummy dried mango, pineapple, papaya as well as almonds, walnuts & hazelnuts in it. Covers my sweet cravings to pick on but takes more chewing........

Hmm... not really. Moderation is key. There is nothing wrong with having something sweet. I feel that if you don't, you're more likely to binge on them. Sometimes fruit does it for me. Apples and berries. If not, I have a York Peppermint pattie, some FroYo, a VitaTop, etc.
I love doing kickboxing and bootcamp, those exercises are great for abs. Biking, exercise ball crunches are good too.

Gum. Xylitol gum :) If you do eat something sweet, be very critical on how many sugar carbs are in it (<9g is my standard, I adapted Jorge Cruise's BFC diet to fit my sweet tooth a bit!)

**This is only for belly fat recommendation, as far as sweet tooth goes I find just keeping it within my caloric budget works. I also google recipes a lot to find modifications to lower the calorie counts without sacrificing "sweetness" or flavor :)

I agree, never try to deprive yourself of anything you just want it more. Keep it in moderation, and when you eats sweets try to limit them to heathier sweets.

Candice, I drink Shakeology every day - it not only helps with the weight loss and provides tons of nutriion, but it also reduces cravings - I love both flavors - but the chocolate is so smooth and creamy - I make it with fruit - it's just delicious.

What is really cool though is how it slimmed up my belly fat - it's like it melted that layer of stuff off - revealing the strong core that I had worked so hard for!

I can give you more info if you'd like or show you my before and after pics.

Shakeology will not slim a person's abdomen.

Please don't deprive yourself of sweets. There's nothing wrong with eating sweets. You can have them in moderation and portion size. Buy the mini version of your sweets or create your own mini version. Take control over your sweets. You have to be in control of your sweets and not the sweets be in control of you.

Eating healthy, drinking water and exercising will help get rid of belly fat. Abs starts in the kitchen. Cardio is good to burn fat. Try adding Tae Bo Insane Abs to your exercise routine. You will see a difference with your abs.

I had a terrible sweet addiction but decided I had to start taking care of myself as I got older and starting putting on the pounds.. I still do sweets but I do it in moderation and within my allowed (honest) calorie count along with excercise. If you do this you will be okay. You must get of the mindset that that you have to do it moderately..I have droped almost 50 pounds since May in cutting down on the sweets, watching my caloric intake and excersising every day. This system really works!!! I am a living and now healthy witness!!

if you want to lose belly fat you have to do cardio. i personaly do a lot of cross training and interval training. i think it works best.

as for the sweets. just eat less? try to eat half of whatever you want instead of all of it.
