What is the best way to lose weight in your opinion?

So I'm going about this by...
-Drinking heaps of water and green tea
-watching my calories- about 1500 a day
-consuming A LOT of veggies.
-cutting out junk
-exercising 30 mins 5 times a week. Some days I'll do up to 2 hours.
Do I need to consume back the calories when I workout? How often should I be eating?
Anyway, how have you lost weight? What should I keep in mind? I'd love some tips!

Yes. MFP calculates your deficit so that you eat the calories burned back. Eat every 3-5 hours.0 -
I lost weight the old fashioned way: consuming less than I expended.
I would suggest eating back at least some of your exercise calories, and it's not likely to make a difference how often you eat in terms of metabolism. Satiety is another issue and quite personal.0 -
Every 2-3 hours. Yes, eat back your exercise calories. Your net (check on your homepage) calories should be at least 1200.0

Everything you said plus not giving up, even when you mess up.0

well you do fine with eating all that and cutting the junk food becuase i did that im doing a dvd thats 30 minutes and it works out my hole body and ive lost 3 pounds in a week i eating pretty good i watch my calories and eat two times a day. I work out everyday0

One good choice at a time!
Mix up your exercise routine. Add Long easy, short intense, interval cardio plus strength training and stretching.0 -
Personally my net is almost never 1200. lol
I try to eat back some but not all of my exercise calories. I feel like I probably underestimate my calories and overestimate my exercise cals so it should even out somewhere in there..0 -

^^ This, I think, is number ONE.0 -
These are all awesome. Thanks! Giving up is by far what I'm most worried about. Happened countless times.0

In my opinion, the best way to lose weight is to run. All you need is a good pair of running shoes, an ipod or running buddy to keep you preoccupied and you're all set. Just run! It's fun!0

I think I lose weight faster if I don't eat back all my calories every day. For example. Yesterday I worked out and burned 650 calories. I didn't eat them back. I ate maybe 100 of them back. I don't force myself to eat them all. Or today, I only ate 1110, but I wasn't hungry and didn't exercise so I didn't eat the full 1230 mfp says. Just know your body. If you are hungry eat, if you aren't, don't force yourself to eat.
What worked for me to lose weight was portion size and switching out some bad habits for good ones. I still eat the foods I like, but I eat lower calorie versions or smaller portions or I have a shake or meal bar here and there. I avoid high sugar drinks except for once in awhile. I also eat more fruit and much less fast food. I also work out, usually fitness videos, but if I am at home I go to the gym or group fitness classes.0 -

You have youth on your side, which is wonderful.
I've only one thing to add.... Enjoy Life! Watching your weight doesn't mean you have to give up having fun. Have a beer, have a slice of pizza when you're out with your friends. Log it and move on. :flowerforyou:0 -

I do all of the above plus PLENTY OF SLEEP! I also started caloric cycling and it's been working well for me so far. I've lost more inches than weight which is fine for me too0 -
Eating the correct amount of calories while making sure I don't get too low on one macro or the other. Combined with exercise (cardio + strength) to help prevent loss of lean tissue. Avoidance of fad diets that starve you of one nutrient or another.
I'm in Venuto's camp, I guess.0
