Okay, Thanksgiving is next week and lots of holiday eating is very likely for the remainder of the year. What are your suggestions for maintaining your current fitness plan while enjoying meals with family?

i just posted this on another person's forum post but: portion control, increased water intake, and exercise. all three are a must. you can enjoy yourself but know you can't have a heaping scoop of everything on the menu.
get up in the am and take a run/jog/walk to earn some "extra" calories if you believe in eating back exercise calories.
avoid the appetizers. Cheese and cracker platters will ruin you.
mostly, enjoy yourself. it's not the end of the world if you have a slip up, just work just as hard the next day to work it off0 -
Don't graze. It is totally worth waiting to sit down and enjoy that food with your family!0

Keep it to one day, rather than a 4-day weekend eat fest. Friday is back to normal.0

Small portions - allow yourself a little of everything and just go for walks or something to increase the exercise.0

Good ideas & suggestions! Thanks everyone!0
