Elliptical or Treadclimber question ...

I love, love, love the elliptical. However, I also enjoy running (when my shins aren't KILLING me). Was looking at the Treadclimber (looks like it replicates a little of each activity) however, it is a bit expensive and so far I have been unable to locate any store that has one on display to try it out. Anybody out there own or have used a Treadclimber?

I went to sports authority last night and was checking out ellipticals. When I asked the sales guy about the Treadclimber he said " I get a lot of customers coming in here buying ellipticals becaust their Treadclimber broke. The motor is too small." I thought it was odd thing for him to say but ... whatever.

Also, anybody know where I can go to get a fitting for running shoes? I googled running shoe fitting (worded several different ways) and so far have been unable to locate anything in my area.
